casinos first started appearing on the online scene back in April 2006 with just a handful of
sites and a very small selection of games. Gradually

situation changed slightly in 2012 when some Rival casinos were able to start
accepting new USA players again –
a great relief for Americans who are very limited where they can play. All
online casinos offer players Roulette, Blackjack and many other Card or Dice
games – the only thing which really separates one software
from another is the quality and quantity of their slot games, and it is here that these casinos really can “rival”

Hole in Won and The Back Nine Low Variance (15-line
i-Slots) Hole
in Won was released in September 2009 and the “sequel” The Back Nine came out
in July 2011. I’ve
put these two together as they are very similar in operation and features, as
follows; True Skill
Bonus Round: Very few online slots have any element of skill to
them, but these two do! Both have a 9-hole Crazy Golf course for you to
navigate – the less shots you take, the bigger your prize! Also, like many
other Rival slots – if you trigger the bonus with 4 or 5 scatters, your
prizes are even bigger. The
main difference between the two slots is Hole in Won has a 2D course, while
The Back Nine is 3D. Multiple
Expanding Wilds: Both slots have expanding wild symbols on
reels 2,3 & 4 giving the potential for very large wins during normal

A Switch in Time Medium Variance (20-line
i-Slot) Released
in November 2009, this slot soon became a favourite of mine, as well as of
many other players. Based loosely on the H.G.Wells story “The Time Machine”,
players start in the Present Time, but can get transported Back or Forward in
time to new locations, new features. In
fact, this slot has so many features it’s hard to know where to start! Variable
Free-Spins: Probably the most attractive thing about it is the
possibility of a BIG number of free-spins with a HIGH multiplier; in the
Present Time, for 3, 4 or 5 scatters respectively, you get 12 spins @ x3, 45
@ x6 or 78 spins @x9. Furthermore,
the wilds expand during free-spins AND carry a 3x multiplier, so you could
potentially hit some wins which are 27x
the regular pay-table amount! The
number and multiplier of the free-spins is different
in each location, but in all of them the regular wilds become expanding wilds

Slot High Variance (20-line
Bonus Video Slot) This
one first hit our computer screens in July 2008, but it still remains a firm
favourite with players who like their variance a little higher! It has free-spins and a pseudo-skill bonus
round – but here’s the unique twist:
you can ONLY hit the bonus round DURING free-spins. It
also has expanding wilds on reels
1, 2 & 3 which can produce some very nice hits if 2 or 3 land together, as all wins are multiplied by the number of
wilds appearing. E.G. 3 wilds = all wins x3. (See screenshot) Burger
Making Bonus: Only possible in the free-spins, you try to catch as
many ingredients as you can on your burger bun as they drop from the top of
the screen. Like most slots – your skill doesn’t actually effect your final prize
– it’s just a bit of fun. But it’s fun worth waiting for on this slot,
because the MINIMUM you can win from this bonus is total bet x100, with a
maximum of total bet x200. In my

believe Reel Party was one of the
original slots when Rival Gaming first launched in April 2006 and the others,
which are all clones (basically the same slot but with different symbols on
the reels), were released at various times over subsequent years. Aussie Rules is another very similar
slot; only the pay table and bonus rounds are slightly different from the other
four. This
is a simple slot concept like many from that time, it just has free-spins and
a bonus round. BUT… what keeps players coming back is the chance of winning 100 free-spins, which can of course
re-trigger and which also multiply all wins and any bonus rounds hit by x3 as well. Even
if you’re not lucky enough to get 100 spins, the features on these slots hit
FAR more frequently than most other slots I know, meaning that re-triggers

Scary Rich and Scary Rich 2 Very High Variance! (20-line
Bonus Video Slot) Scary Rich appeared
in December 2007 and Scary Rich 2
rose from its grave in October 2008. To
be honest I don’t play these two much myself because the variance is just too
darned high for my liking. But I know they are very popular with certain
types of player, so I’m going to tell you about them anyway. SR1 Hit

The big hits can come during free-spins, when the wilds only appear on reels
